Bring the family and enjoy a fun day of fishing at CARE Community Center’s Annual Fishing Derby.

Address: 500 E Veterans Pkwy, Rogers

Event Details:

* Free to attend and participate
* Children must be 15 years old or younger to fish
* Ages 16 and older must have a valid fishing license
* Pond stocked with 500 catfish
* Families should bring their own fishing poles and bait

CARE Community Center’s Annual Fishing Derby is a free community event for families and children ages 15 and under who would like to fish. We look forward to a fun day of fishing, prizes, and community fellowship.

Rules

All Arkansas Game and Fish Commission guidelines will be observed:

  • Children under 15 do not need a fishing license.
  • Adults may assist a child but cannot fish for themselves.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need my own fishing gear?
    Yes. Please bring your own fishing rod and tackle, as loaner gear will not be available at the event.
  • Do I need to bring bait?
    Yes. You will need to bring bait that can catch catfish, as the pond will be stocked with catfish for the derby.
  • Can adults fish?
    Adults may help children fish, but may not fish for themselves. All Arkansas Game and Fish Commission guidelines will be observed.
