The heart of CARE Community Center lies in our commitment to serve those in need. Our passion is to create lasting change—one neighbor at a time—by providing resources, education, and a sense of belonging. We invite you to join us in making a difference.

Our Mission
Empowering our neighbors with resources and education, leading to personal and family sustainability.
At CARE Community Center, we offer a variety of free programs designed to support and uplift our community. Whether you're picking up fresh groceries from our Root Cellar Food Pantry, getting help with tax preparation, or participating in one of our informative and often hands-on workshops, there’s something here for everyone.
Root Cellar Food Pantry
Everyone is welcome—no matter where you live. If your household could use a little extra help, we’re here for you.
Note: Pantry services are available to households with income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Not sure if that includes you? Just reach out—we’re happy to help.
CARE Community Tax Centers
At the CARE Community Tax Center, we believe everyone deserves access to accurate, stress-free tax preparation. That’s why our services are completely free and provided by IRS-certified volunteers trained to help you file with confidence. We provide free tax preparation and financial education during tax season, with limited appointments available after April 15.
Workshops
Offered throughout the year, our workshops provide practical, educational experiences for individuals and families. Topics include cooking affordable meals, making your money go further, building everyday life skills, and improving overall wellness.
Our Vision

At CARE Community Center, you’re never just a number — you’re a neighbor, a friend, and part of our community. We live here, work here, and share this community with you. CARE isn’t part of a larger organization or government agency — we’re a local team, committed to walking alongside those we serve. Everyone who walks through our doors is seen, valued, and welcomed — just as they are.
